First of all you need to make sure you start slowly. What I mean by this is you shouldn't start off by trying to run full speed on a treadmill. If that means that you have to start off by walking then do so. You want to make sure that you take the safe route and getting back in shape. I recommend that you increase your exercise level every week. So the first week you might start walking but by the third week you're actually running. Make sure that you're doing some type of cardio too. This doesn't mean that you always have to run on a treadmill. You can pick another machine that you like to do if you go to the gym. If you work out of home your choices are more limited. Whatever he did make sure that you work out for lease 30 to 45 minutes per session.
The next step is to make sure you're eating as healthy as possible. Eating healthy might not sound like fun but it's the most important thing you can do to get your body back. I start off slow by replacing one unhealthy meal each week with a healthier alternative. After you've done this for 5 to 6 weeks all of your meals will be healthy. The reason I say 5 to 6 weeks is because you should be eating 5 to 6 small meals each day. This will keep your metabolism going and burning calories at a high rate of speed. Try and get some type of protein with each meal. Protein is an essential building block for your muscles. By following these tips you'll know how to get back in shape and get the body of your dreams.
